Improving Your Sales

FAST NICKEL vs. SLOW DIME

When selling something and you have a limited time window (hours), limited number of customers/buyers and the customer has a budget (amount to spend). You want a quick sale (move as many/much goods as possible) and as much of the customer's budget as you can get. In order for this to have the greatest benefit for both parties you need to price your goods (service too) where you make less per single 'item' sale but more per 'grouped item' sale.

Example: You buy an apple wholesale for five cents ($.05) and sell it at going rate (or better) for ten cents ($.10); your profit from that sale is five cents ($.05). The customer watching his/her budget only buys one (1) "apple".
BUT if you were to offer that one (1) "apple for $.10" as " 3 apples for $.25" you would find that you increase your sales and it would be from customers looking for a bargain.
(In essence budgeted customers stretching their buying power ... they're now getting "3 apples for $.25" instead of "3 apples for $.30" ... saving them $.05). You'd increase your profit by five cents ($.05) [Fast Nickle] from ONE sale to now profiting ten cents ($.10) per ONE sale, a 100% increase in profit, immediately, not waiting for that next ONE (1) "apple" sale [Slow Dime] .
They'd save, be happy and now adjust their budget to get their "apples" from you.

THUS: "It's Better To Make A Fast Nickle Then A Slow Dime".

(NOTE: If you plan on selling "apples" for more then one (1) time you must keep your price consistent, i.e. "3 apples for $.25", this will built a loyal customer base. And you must keep that price for as long as possible (banning shortages of course).

THIRD PERSON PROFIT

Whenever, wherever there is a Conflict or Attraction there is always a third person profit to be made exploiting the Conflict/Attraction.

Example (Conflict): U.S. Civil War, North vs. South; Winner: gun runners and suppliers of other needed goods.
Example (Attraction): people falling in love; Winner: flower street vendor, jeweler, restaurant, place or atmosphere to court, wedding suppliers, real estate agent, etc.
Example (Conflict): lovers having an argument ; Winner: flower street vendor, [see above example], divorce lawyer, real estate agent, ex-lover [lurking], potential lover [lurking], etc..

In short, it's more times than not that it's a Conflict that will present itself or be created (think: politics, religion, money).
So more often than not the following axiom (accepted statement) applies:

THUS: "In Every Two Person Conflict There's A Third Person Profit"

(NOTE: When you're consciously doing the 'third person profit' don't be a dirt-bag and pull dirt-bag scams ... nobody likes a dirt-bag and they always end-up "gone" ... one way or another.)
